VR Ballet “Proximity” is a research in which dance expands its means of expression into virtual reality. The boundary between the viewer and the performer fades.
The viewer, engaged by the music, motion, and virtual surroundings, is carried away from real life to the world of pure pulsating energy where the physical is dematerialized and the soul merges into infinity.
“Proximity” is a unique blend of art, ballet, music, virtual reality, and meditation that explores the relationship between human beings and digitization. What is the viewers’ focus: the use of computer technology and aspiration for future immortality or artistic design, the subtlety of a moment that slips away, and human values? What is actually real in the modern world?
